Fresh chips in your chip shop or fry house are a difference your customers can taste. Friet van Beus supplies freshly cut chips to cafetarias, chip shops, fry houses and snack bars across the central Netherlands, cut from potatoes we grow ourselves in Zeewolde. You serve real fresh chips without having to stand at the peeling machine yourself.
Friet van Beus exists thanks to a snack bar owner. In 2016 the family came up with the idea of doing more with their own Agria and Frieslander potatoes. A local cafetaria provided the push: it was fed up with peeling and cutting potatoes itself every day. The family bought a peeling and cutting machine, and Friet van Beus was born. Many catering businesses in the area joined afterwards.
So we know first hand what a cafetaria runs into. Peeling and cutting takes hours every week, a peeling machine needs maintenance and bought-in potatoes vary from batch to batch. By leaving those steps to us, you have time left for your customers and your menu.
A chip shop stands or falls by its chips. Fresh chips have a flavour and texture of their own: a crisp outside and a floury inside that genuinely tastes of potato. Our chips are not pre-fried and nothing is added, so the result is in your own hands. With a fixed routine for blanching chips and finishing them, you put the same portion on the counter every time.
Fresh chips also come with a story. That your chips come from a farm in Zeewolde, cut by the same family that grows the potatoes, is something you can proudly put on your menu board. What makes chips truly delicious is explained in the tastiest chips.
As a chips supplier to cafetarias, we know that evenings and weekends are all about speed. The 10 kg vacuum bags fit neatly in the cold store and you only open what you need. Blanch in the afternoon and you only have to finish in the evening. With deliveries after the Tuesday and Friday cutting mornings, you have fixed moments to top up your stock.
Not sure whether switching suits your business? The page on switching to fresh chips sets out the steps. In the yield of fresh chips you can read how to estimate the output per bag.
Many snack bars buy their products from a catering wholesaler with a large range. For the chips there is another way: straight from the grower. We supply only fresh chips and potatoes, and that is where our full attention goes. Take a look at our fresh chips, call or message Thijs on 06 23972300, or send an enquiry.

Everything you want to know about chip shops and fry houses.
No. We peel and cut the potatoes for you. You receive the chips vacuum-packed and only need to blanch and finish them.
They call for a different routine, especially when blanching. With the right temperatures and a fixed method it is perfectly manageable during the rush. We are happy to help you get started.

Agria from September to July, and Frieslander only in August, the transition season. Both are floury varieties that lend themselves well to chips.
