Fresh chips from a farming family

At our family business Friet van Beus in Zeewolde we cut fresh chips from potatoes we grow ourselves. No middlemen, no additives and nothing pre-fried: the chips go vacuum packed per 10 kg from our farm straight to your kitchen. The chip line runs on Tuesday and Friday mornings, after which our regular drivers deliver. That is how we supply chip shops and fry houses that fry plenty of chips every week, wholesalers who supply others and food trucks. You deal directly with the people who grew the potato, and you serve chips with an honest story.

Why Friet van Beus

What makes our chips different

We have been growing potatoes on our farm in Zeewolde since 1994, and in 2016 a local snack bar that was tired of peeling and cutting gave us the push to start producing our own fresh chips. With our own scraping and cutting production line, that grew into Friet van Beus, a family business where the third generation now works alongside us.

  • Only potatoes from our own crop
  • No additives and never pre-fried
  • Vacuum packed for your kitchen
  • Freshly cut every Tuesday and Friday
  • Delivered by our own regular drivers
  • Consistent quality all year round

Frequently asked questions

The questions business owners ask us most about our chips, the potatoes and delivery.

When are the fresh chips delivered?

We cut the chips on Tuesday and Friday mornings. They are then vacuum packed and delivered to your business by us personally. So you receive freshly cut chips, with no middlemen and no long storage along the way.

Which potato varieties do you use?

From September to July we cut our chips from Agria potatoes. In the transition season, August, we use the Frieslander. You can read about the difference in our article Agria or Frieslander.

Are your chips pre-fried?

No. Our chips are freshly cut, never pre-fried and free of additives. You blanch and finish them in your own kitchen, so you decide exactly how they turn out. It takes a set routine, and we are happy to help you with that.

Is there a minimum order?

That depends on your business, your location and how often you would like deliveries. Get in touch with Thijs or Joost, or send an enquiry. We will then look together at what works for you and make clear arrangements.

Do you also deliver to Belgium or Germany?

Delivery of washed potatoes to Belgium and Germany is possible, but please allow for longer delivery times. Contact Thijs or Joost about it. We deliver fresh chips across the central Netherlands and whole potatoes nationwide.

Can you help with frying advice?

Certainly. We help you choose the right oil or frying fat, and with adjustments and routines in your kitchen, so the chips come out of the fryer just right. Read more about our advice on frying chips.
