Fresh chips for Biddinghuizen

Biddinghuizen is a quiet polder village that, a few times a year, welcomes far more people than live there. Large events and leisure sites draw visitors from far and wide. For food trucks, caterers and hospitality in and around the village we cut fresh chips from our own potatoes.

A small village with big events

The village itself is compact, with a centre, residential streets and plenty of farmland around it. But the surrounding sites host festivals, attractions and other events, and in summer the campsites and bungalow parks along the Veluwemeer add to that. Hospitality in Biddinghuizen therefore has to switch between quiet weeks and days when the queues never end.

Chips are available at almost every event, and they are also the dish visitors judge a food truck by. A portion of fresh chips, golden and crisp, is remembered. So is a limp tray from the freezer, but for the wrong reasons.

Planning for large numbers

For an event you order a lot in one go. Because we cut on Tuesday and Friday mornings, it makes sense to match the delivery to the build-up. Discuss with us well in advance what you expect and when you want the chips. Then we will help you plan quantities and delivery timing.

Refrigeration on site is often limited. Vacuum-packed chips in 10 kg packs store compactly, and you only open the packs when you need them. Leisure on the Veluwemeer

It is not only events that bring the crowds. Along the Veluwemeer there are beaches and holiday parks, and the kiosks and restaurants there run at full capacity in the summer months. We supply them with fresh chips too, or with whole Agria potatoes for those who prefer to cut their own.
